Why Life Coaching
What I Want You to Know about Life Coaching
Too many people these days have personal or business goals that they will never achieve. Are you in that group of people?
Too many people have their energy going in too many wrong directions and can’t get to the things they feel are important. Are you in that group of people?
Too many people are distracted by the day to day events of our world, the economy, bills, unresolved issues, relationship problems, etc. Are you one of those people?
Coaching is a fairly new profession that is helping thousands of people reach their goals. My purpose here is to help you understand a little about coaching so that you can use those ideas to begin to turn your own goals into reality.
A coach is a professional dedicated to helping people reach their personal potential. A coach is highly trained in communication and motivation. A coach’s focus is completely on helping you to reach your goals.
Coaching began about 20 years ago when CEOs of major corporations began to work with their business consultants in a new way. The CEO and consultant would meet to develop the leadership skills for the CEO, and they soon discovered that not only did coaching improve their leadership skills, it also benefited the bottom line of the company. This boosted the value of coaching as a new profession.
Over the past 10 years, coaching has grown in popularity with the general public as well. It is now well established both as a means of personal self improvement and as a way to improve small businesses.
- They want someone to help them formulate solutions to their situation.
- They want to have more time, more fun, and less stress.
- Some actually use coaching to help them define what is their life mission or purpose
- Anyone seeking to get results and is willing to work-- hires a coach! (All the great pro athletes and entertainers have a coach.)
Having a coach has been shown over and over again to help people accelerate their achievement in many areas. There are four main reasons for life coaching success.
